3L Ajuga Retpans Mahogany X1

Ajuga reptans 'Mahogany' has near black-burgundy semi-evergreen leaves that emerge in spring. As the cultivar name suggests, those leaves gradually turn into a deep mahogany. Two-lipped, bright blue flowers (typical mint family) bloom in spring. Does well in problems area where grass will not grow, but not so tolerant of foot traffic. The specific epithet 'reptant' means creeping, which should remind you to watch it spreading too far! Easy and low maintenance, good for keeping down weeds.
