Beard-tongues are the showiest varieties by far, putting on a terrific display of colour, this selection blooming from spring through fall. Plants form a bushy compact clump, bearing several spikes of unique and showy, large, dusky dark pink flowers that feature a contrasting white throat. Unfortunately, these are not reliably hardy and should be mulched even in mild winter areas.
